- Colorful ravioli (plating with seasonal vegetable hues)
- Tagliatelle fresh with tomato, eggplant and parmigiano
- Tiramisu or cannoli or white and black
Our adventure will begin with a toast and continue with an engaging experience: we will prepare colorful ravioli together, mixing vegetables such as spinach, beets or saffron into the flour to give a fun twist to the dish. Next, we will prepare delicious noodles topped with cherry tomatoes, eggplant and Parmesan cheese, enriched with a freshly made sauce. Finally, I will share with you the secrets of making a tiramisu, which you will prepare with your own hands.

- Cooking with Mariella was one of the highlights of our trip. She picked us up near our cruise ship and drove us (safely and thoughtfully) to her home. We used Google translate and she was very helpful with both that and telling us about her beautiful city. We arrived at her lovely home and she quickly made us feel welcome and got us ready for a fun morning. We cooked several different kinds of pasta and bread and then dined on them for a wonderful lunch. We met her mother and sister who were great and som welcoming. I cannot recommend this experience enough. If you are visiting Messina, Sicily in a Cruise, this is an outstanding way to use your time there. Well worth the effort and cost and a great experience you will remember! Thank you Mariella!

We had an amazing evening in her beautiful home with a feast fit for royalty. Not only did we love the meal but also the warm and engaging conversation with Mariella and her husband Gianni. - We had an amazing time with Mariella. She was so friendly and warm from the beginning of our day to the end. Meeting point was very easy to find and her home was close by reducing travel time. She welcomed us into her home to teach us about the making of pasta, and many other food dishes we had that day from the ingredients to the preparation. Everything we had was either a favorite dish and more wonderful to have a local version , or something new we never had before, and each dish more delicious than the last. Mariella and her husband made it seem so easy even though we see how much work and time they put into making our day special. They listened to our concerns about food allergies and accommodated without hesitation. They even made a special dish not in their regular menu to have us try a local delicacy. Everything was just outstanding. And with translation apps we communicated just fine and had wonderful conversations getting to know each other and talking about the food. We would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a personal experience and not afraid to meet new people.

Born and raised in Messina, I actually learned the Messina tradition when I grew up, because my parents were originally from Gioiosa Marea and Piraino, provinces of Messina but with several differences in methodology. I try to combine these diversities in a taste that is, I would say, pleasant. I like to know and above all I would like these traditions not to disappear.
