Your experience
Join me, Barbara, a local Cesarina from Montepulciano, for a special cooking class where we'll create a three-course menu of authentic Tuscan dishes. We'll start by making the famous handmade pasta called pici all'aglione, a savory tomato and garlic sauce that will leave your taste buds craving for more. For our main course, we'll prepare tender meat slow-cooked in a rich red wine ragu, served with crispy roasted vegetables. Finally, we'll end our meal with traditional Tuscan cookies paired with a glass of Vin Santo. As we cook and eat together, I'll share with you the stories and history behind each dish, giving you a true taste of Tuscan life. Come and join me for an unforgettable culinary experience in the heart of Tuscany.

- Barbara was was the perfect host, she is warm and inviting in her beautiful home. We cooked pasta (pici), gnocchi and biscotti for dessert, learning techniques and secrets Barbara shared. Her kitchen is beautifully stylized and perfectly equipped. Barbara is very skilled in the kitchen, has the tools you need to make everything, and is a great teacher, conversationalist and very enthusiastic. My husband and I had wonderful time and food (accompanied with the wine) at Barbara's and would highly recommend this experience!
- Barbara enthusiastically shared some wonderful family recipes with us. She was extremely well prepared for our arrival and the love she has for cooking and teaching others made the class an exceptional experience!
- My aunt and I had the most wonderful time (and food!) at Barbara's. Her space is comfortable and inviting and she is such a wonderful and welcoming human. There were two other couples with us and we had a wonderful time chatting over the best meal we had on our Italy tour. Thank you, Barbara, for such a great evening.
- Barbara was warm and inviting in her beautiful home. She shared 2 pasta recipes and then we could choose to make biscotti or tiramisu for dessert. The pasta recipes were ones she used to make with her Grammie. Barbara is very skilled in the kitchen, has the tools you need to make everything, and is a great teacher and conversationalist. My husband and I had a great time and would highly recommend this experience!

Cesarina from 2018Location: Montepulciano Languages: Italian and EnglishBarbara welcomes us in Montepulciano Station, a historic village nestled on the hills in the province of Siena, near the characteristic medieval village is surrounded by three circular walls and is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the area. If you see it for yourself, you'll soon understand why: the old town sprawls over a steep hill, adorned with stunning towers and steeples, while its square opens onto the breathtaking panorama of the Tuscan countryside. Our Cesarina’s country house encapsulates this charming atmosphere. Her beautiful wine cellar is home to dozens of aging bottles of local wine, and the rest of the apartment is warm and welcoming. It is here that Barbara serves us her local specialties; simple, but with sterling character and unforgettable taste.
